Every 3 months on the third Friday
Description:Simple Sundress with Jaime David Learn to make a simple sundress using three useful techniques on your overlocker. In this lesson, we will introduce the new L 890 Combo machine by BERNINA. Turning tubes for straps on bags or clothing can be done quickly with an overlocker chain—we will show you how. A simple rolled hem is the perfect edge finish for this dress and the One-step BERNINA Air Threader can accommodate so many threads! Lastly, see how easily the machine is set up for chainstitch to create the shirring effect using elastic thread in the cover looper. Jaime will provide you easy directions to create this simple sundress in the size you need.

Overlocker Lesson #2: T-Shirts for Every Body with Hayley Grzych
Come one, come all! This lesson will walk through the basics of making your own T-shirt for any size or any
gender. T-shirt construction will take place entirely on an overlocker and teach the essential techniques and
stitches for knit garment construction. Making garments isn’t just about construction though-- you’ll also
get tips on how to make pre-made patterns best fit your unique shape. This beginner-friendly class will have
you feeling confident to expand your handmade wardrobe.

Overlocker Lesson #3: Woven Serger Pillow with Sylvain Bergeron
Did you know that your serger was the fastest embellishment tool in your sewing room? With its ability
to handle thicker threads with ease, it makes quick (and perfect!) work of edging simple strips of canvas,
turning them into the ideal base for a dimensional woven lattice that will form the front of the pillow. The
rest is a simple pattern for a flange pillow. Proof that simple techniques can yield striking results!

Overlocker Lesson #4: Decorative & Durable Storage Boxes with Megann Freese
Let’s put our overlockers to the test to demonstrate how these machines can be used for the construction
of something other than garments. This lesson will show how versatile our machines are when stitching
together a variety of thick fabrics and stabilizers, all while using decorative threads in the upper and lower
loopers to create decorative stitches. You may be quite surprised that at the end of the lesson you will have
created a stable storage box, and learned even more about the stitches on the overlocker. These storage
boxes will help you organize your sewing room and fabric stashes. They can also be used as gift boxes by
simply adding a fabric bow, which will be finished on the overlocker during the lesson.
