These fantastic little machines were so well engineered that the owner could (and should!) provide the maintenance they need.
This is a maintenance workshop designed to teach the care that these machines require on a regular basis. Machines that are in need of repair may not participate in this workshop until they have been repaired.
This is a hands-on class in which you will bring your own Featherweight, and learn the following
Stray thread removal
Checking the electrical
Greasing the motor and gears
Check the hook
Installing and adjusting the belt
Adjusting tensions and test sew-out.
The only prerequisites are having a Featherweight and knowing how to thread and sew with it. Each attendee will be required to bring a machine and pay for the class - no auditing allowed. Class size will be 6 or less to allow for plenty of individual instruction.
