Getting Started w/ Machine Embroidery

Learn the basics of machine embroidery in this class.
We will go over stabilizers, thread, best practices for hooping, loading designs onto your machine and most common notions you'll use for embroidery.
No machine is needed for this class but it would be recommended to bring a pen and notebook for notes.

In this class we will make a mug, fabric and templates included in the class.

Get To Know Your Sewing Machine
Wednesday, Dec 4 2-3:30pm
Bring in your sewing machine and we’ll cover how to thread the machine, winding a bobbin, proper threads and needles, what each foot is used for, and using the stitch functions of your machine. We’ll practice sewing a straight stitch, zig-zag stitch, make a buttonhole, then see what other stitches your machine has built in.
Master Your Bernina Sewing Machine
Friday, March 14 10am-12noon
Get the most out of your Bernina Sewing machine by exploring all the stitches and functions of your machine. We will use the Bernina workbook for this class. You will complete a sample for each page and go home with a completed reference book.
Cost $50
Tuesdays 1pm-4pm
Thursdays 9am-noon FULL
Schedule some "me" time and come into the store for this social sewing group. Bring your own projects but use our sewing tables, cutting tables, and iron as you work at your own pace. We're here to offer tips and guidance on tricky steps along the way.
Cost $5 per week.
Space is limited. Preregistration is required.

Our team of knowledgeable teachers can schedule 1:1 lessons to help you get comfortable with your machine, work on a specific project, or tackle any other issue getting in the way of your sewing. Give us a call to talk about your specific goals and we'll match you with the right teacher for you.
